Are the product basics there?
Look for descriptions, featured images, categories, and matching price information on product pages.

THE AI COMMERCE GUIDE
An answer you can actually finish with.
When it applies, what to do, and what done looks like, together in one answer. Here is a real example.
Open this exampleWhy is my product missing from ChatGPT shopping results?
When this applies
The concrete situation that makes the answer relevant.
You need to diagnose a product's Shopify Catalog route separately from its public-web route.
When this does not apply
The condition where doing nothing or choosing a different answer is valid.
Do not start when you are trying to guarantee placement in a ChatGPT result.
Why this matters
The consequence of the current state before any mechanism or instruction.
Catalog discovery and public-web discovery can disagree, so one check cannot diagnose both routes.
What to do, or not do
The smallest useful action, including when stopping is correct.
Choose whether to keep, separate, or hide the two routes before opening Shopify Admin.
What you'll see when it's done
The state you can directly observe when the task is complete.
Observe matching Catalog access and signed-out public-page visibility.
What this result does not prove
The explicit boundary that prevents an observation from becoming an unsupported claim.
Those checks do not guarantee placement or prove every downstream copy was removed.
The platforms move. Keep your bearings.
See what is available and what Shopify already handles. Dated platform changes take you back to the official source.
- Announced
Shopify Admin gained an Agentic Storefronts page with raw Shopify Catalog query previews and product-data recommendations. The preview does not report a store's rank in a participating AI channel.
Shopify changelog - Announced
Spring '26 put AI-channel orders, sales, and conversions in the admin, and had Sidekick return product-data fix advice at no cost.
Spring '26 release - Checked
Shopify's Agentic plan has no subscription fee for joining Shopify Catalog and agentic storefronts. Sales still incur applicable Shopify Payments or third-party payment-provider transaction fees.

About the guidance, store access, and your data.
What is AI Commerce Ready?
AI Commerce Ready automatically checks your Shopify store and shows what to fix first, with affected products and links to make changes. It checks product details, customer policies, Shopify Catalog presence, storefront access, and sampled product-page offers. Installation grants read-only product, publication, and legal-policy access, with no Shopify write permission or customer and order access. Complete guidance with dated sources is also free to read without installation or an account.
Why does an answer send me to Shopify or another official page?
Because the work finishes in the authoritative place. We name the exact page and hand off where the official service takes over.
Does the guidance score my store or promise better rankings?
No. It reports dated, named states supported by sources. External channels decide what appears, and a single observation cannot prove ranking improvement.
How current is the guidance?
Every answer shows when its sources were checked. Platform changes are checked every 30 days; answers and steps every 90 days. Stale pages fail the publication gate.
What happens to my guidance activity?
We do not count, aggregate, or report which Answers you open or how you use Progress Reports. Your language choice, theme preference, and open Progress Report state stay in this browser on this device. Hosting providers still process ordinary web request metadata to deliver and protect the site.
